On November 12, we’ll continue our Material Shift series with a discussion on the evolving role of materials in our cities. Growing knowledge around application and risk, advances in technology, and more experienced supply chains are opening the door to more sustainable approaches — many of which would not have seemed possible just a few years ago.
This session will explore recent advances in material technology and application, with a focus on timber, concrete, building reuse and material salvage. Drawing on local projects and initiatives, we’ll consider where these approaches are now and where they’re heading next.
